This installer updates system files which are too old or missing on your system.

1. It installs Microsoft MFC 6.0 (2 files) which is required by PTBSync and also by lots of other programs.
   (Update required only for very old operating systems)
2. It installs the font Microsoft Sans Serif. (1file)
   (Update required only for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT)

Notes:
"Microsoft Sans Serif" (Micross.ttf) is included in Windows 2000 and higher. It is the successor of "MS Sans Serif". It is a Unicode font which contains character sets for all European languages and also Russian, Arabic etc.. Although Windows 95, 98, ME do NOT support Unicode, a lot of tricks enable PTBSync to work with all European languages even on these operating systems!

MFC 6.0 (Mfc42.dll and Msvcrt.dll) is required for all MFC applications which were compiled with Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0.

After starting ElmüSoftSystemUpdater.exe you will find a logfile:
C:\Windows\System(32)\ElmueSoftUpdater.txt

All files which were replaced (if any) are backed up als Filename.OLD
